    strawberry ginger basil prosecco cocktail

    Jump to Recipe
strawberry ginger basil cocktail_hot for food

I don't fancy myself a mixologist. I do, however, love a good drink with a meal! This summer, shake up your backyard bevvie and get a little fancy with this strawberry ginger basil prosecco cocktail.

It's super easy to make, even if it sounds or looks complicated! It's as simple as muddling some ingredients and adding Prosecco! Well, it's a little more specific than that, but that's basically the gist of it!

If these flavors don’t jive with you, hopefully it inspires you to start mixing sweet and savory ingredients with your drink of choice whether it’s mojitos, sangria, or a somethin' bubbly.

    Author: Lauren Toyota

    Ingredients

    • 1 C diced strawberries
    • ½ teaspoon grated ginger
    • 2 tablespoon raw sugar
    • 1 tablespoon finely chopped basil
    • 2 oz brandy
    • 2 C chilled Prosecco

    Instructions

    • In a wide mouth jar, mix together diced strawberries, grated ginger, raw sugar, basil, and brandy. Muddle the ingredients together for a few minutes using a spoon or fork. You could make this a day or a few hours ahead and let it sit in the fridge until you’re ready to make the cocktails.
    • Divide the strawberry ginger basil and brandy mixture into 2 glasses and add 1 cup of chilled Prosecco. Add crushed ice to the cocktail if you desire. Serve immediately.
