I have no shortage of smoothie recipes here at hot for food! That’s because they’re so simple to make, and basically always have mouthwatering results. It takes virtually no effort to throw together a random combination frozen fruit, nondairy milk, and vegan-friendly extras like Vega. That’s how the frozen chocolate cherry smoothie was born!
I love this smoothie because I’m a sucker for both fruit AND chocolate. And anything that tastes like dessert that I’m allowed to eat for breakfast gets 5 stars in my books. The cacao nibs I sprinkled on top are optional, but I think they’re a nice lil’ finishing touch for both the photograph and your tastebuds.

Chocolate and cherry... need I say more?! This irresistible combo goes perfectly in this fresh smoothie.
Ingredients
- 1 C frozen cherries
- 1 frozen banana
- 3 tbsp hemp hearts
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 3/4 C nondairy milk
- 2 tbsp cacao nibs
- 1 scoop Vega Chocolate All-in-One Nutritional Shake

Combine all the ingredients together in a high-powered blender until smooth. This is meant to be a thicker consistency so if it stops blending on its own, just stop the blender and combine with a spoon, then start up the blender again. Continue until it all blends together and there are no chunks left. Top with frozen cherries and more cacao nibs. It's a delicious treat at the end of the smoothie!
