Thank goodness for Google translation! We received a tweet informing us that we were mentioned as one of the top 5 vegan YouTube channels in this, apparently very large, Swedish press outlet. There is a new vegan food show on television in Sweden and it’s receiving a lot of criticism for being too far removed from everyday living and eating, thereby discouraging people from a plant-based diet. They mention us, along with our internet friends Mary’s Test Kitchen and Jenny Mustard as the vegan inspo they should have tried to emulate! I mean, I think that’s what it said… I hope the translation was accurate!
We envision a day when having a plant based TV show is no big deal, and it comes off accessible and not weird. While there was really only one we knew about (Jason Wrobel’s “How To Live to 100” on Cooking Channel in the USA) it’s still nice that some where far far away they’ve attempted to do it as well! #vegantakeover is happening in big big ways!
