I can't enough of sauces and dips... and the creamier the better. That's why nuts are a vegan's best friend! If you've never ground them down to a paste with fresh herbs and garlic, well, what are you waiting for?! Dip your crackers and veggies into this walnut pesto or use it as a delicious sandwich spread.
The best part is there's only 6 ingredients (including salt and pepper), so you can feel good about what you're eating! Using whole, natural ingredients in recipes is one of the best parts about being vegan. Especially when they turn out as tasty as this walnut pesto! I'd be surprised if any was leftover after you and some friends get to dippin'!

Servings: cup
Ingredients
- 1 C toasted walnuts
- 2 C packed fresh basil
- ½ a lemon juiced
- 1 to 2 garilc cloves
- sea salt & ground pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a high-powered blender or food processor, blend all the ingredients together on high until smooth. This will keep up to 7 days in the fridge. It will be much smoother, like the one pictured, if you do it in a blender. The version in a food processor will be more chunky.
