    Who doesn't love a smoothie in the morning! It's the best way to get a ton of nutrition in one serving. If you follow hot for food, then you know that I love adding lots of interesting ingredients to smoothies to prevent A.M. boredom. I'd like you to meet the pineapple chai smoothie, aka a friendly jolt of breakfast inspiration!

    This creamy blend includes Vega All-in-One Nutritional Shake which is a whole food nutritional supplement that I recommend everyone add to their diet, vegan or not. I don't use it everyday, but I use it enough to keep my diet balanced and get all the nutrition I need especially if I've been travelling or eating not-so-good for a couple weeks. It also helped a lot when I transitioned to a vegan diet.

    Even better, this fruity blend has a few special ingredients! Hemp hearts are loaded with nutrients and plant-based protein to keep you fuller longer. And the masala chai powder is what gives it a subtle spicy kick! Skip the $5 chai latte in the morning, and instead get the chai flava you crave while also packing in some good-for-you foods. Grab your high-powered blender and let's get to it!

    Ingredients

    • 1 frozen banana
    • ½ C frozen pineapple chunks
    • ¾ C nondairy milk
    • ¼ C fresh orange juice
    • 1 scoop Vega Vanilla All-in-One Nutritional Shake
    • 3 tablespoon hemp hearts
    • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
    • 1 teaspoon masala chai powder
    • ½ C ice cubes

    Instructions

    • Combine all the ingredients together in a high-powered blender until very smooth.
