We told you how obsessed we are with acai bowls after our trip to hawaii and we've finally got around to creating our own at home! It's super easy and really really refreshing and tasty for a morning treat or even a summer dessert.

ingredients (makes 2 small bowls or 1 large):
1 acai smoothie pack
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1/2 C liquid of your choice (we like unpasteurized apple juice or almond milk)
agave nectar (or honey if you're not vegan)
Look for these acai smoothie packs in the frozen fruit section of health food stores or at whole foods.
Run the acai frozen smoothie pack under water for a few seconds and break it up into chunks with your hands while still in the plastic. Remove the plastic and place pieces into a vita-mix or high powered blender and combine with frozen berries and liquid until smooth. Because this is a thick frozen smoothie you'll need to stop and start your blender to push the frozen pieces closer to the bottom to get it well combined. If you have a vitamix use the the baton that comes with it and gently push the fruit closer to the blade while running the blender... carefully!
Empty the mixture into your bowls and top with sliced banana, flaked coconut, hemp granola and a drizzle of agave. Enjoy the magic of acai!
