superfoods face mask

This recipe makes 1 cup - enough for a spa night with a few friends. But you can halve or quarter the recipe depending on your needs. For best results, use this mask 2 to 3 times a week.

  • 1 green tea bag
  • 2 tbsp gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1/2 C coconut cream
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tbsp raw cacao powder


  1. Brew a cup of strong green tea with one tea bag. It can sit and steep while you prepare everything else.

  2. Next, run the oats through a coffee grinder for a couple of seconds just to get them broken up into smaller pieces.

  3. In a mixing bowl, whip the coconut cream with a whisk or a hand mixer.

  4. Scoop the avocado flesh from the peel and add it to the bowl along with the raw cacao powder, ground oats, and 2 tbsp of steeped green tea.

  5. Combine all the ingredients with a whisk or a hand mixer until smooth.

  6. Apply the mixture evenly onto your face, avoiding the eyelids. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Then using some warm water and your hands gently massage the mask on your face to let the oats do some exfoliating before rinsing it all off.

Recipe Notes

tip: keep a can of coconut cream in the fridge in advance of making this mask. It whips up better when it’s cold and it will feel nice on your face. Plus you can make a delicious and healthy dairy-free whipped cream with the leftovers!
