If you've never ground them down to a paste with fresh herbs and garlic, well, what are you waiting for! Dip your crackers and veggies into this walnut pesto or use it as a delicious sandwich spread.
1 C toasted walnuts
** you could also soak them for a minimum of 3 hours and use raw walnuts
2 C fresh basil
1/2 lemon juiced
1-2 cloves of garlic
sea salt & pepper to taste
In a high powered blender, or food processor blend on high until smooth. Keeps up to 7 days in the fridge. It will be much smoother, like the one pictured, if you do it in a blender. The version in a food processor will be more chunky.
