I'm on a bit of a smoothie kick lately. I decided to reinvent what I blend in the morning because I was getting a little bored with my usual, banana, kale, beet, apple thing. And there's so many delicious and healthy super foods you can eat for breakfast that kick start your mind, body, and soul. Plus when they taste like dessert, well, that's not a bad thing at all!
One of my favourite brands is giddy yoyo. They make THE BEST raw chocolate around, they're Canadian, and I don't think you can buy anything healthier and more nutrient dense in a package, anywhere. Period. I was inspired to use my favourite mint chocolate bar of theirs for a rich, delicious, and nourishing smoothie. Raw chocolate and raw cacao is totally ok for breakfast and it should be part of your diet now. It contains the most anti-oxidants of any food and is high in magnesium, iron, zinc, omega-6 fatty acids and lots of other things.
