who is hot for food
We're Lauren and John and we're hot for food... as long as it's vegan! Together we're cooking up vegan love and bringing the increasingly popular lifestyle to food fans across the globe. We've got a knack for creating vegan versions of popular comfort foods like mac and cheese, burgers, caeser salad, and even cheesecake, bringing vegan eating into the mainstream and proving that plant based diets are far from boring.
Find us sharing gourmet vegan comfort food recipes every Wednesday on our YouTube channel that now boasts over 300,000 subscribers and over 17 million channel views since launching in February of 2015. We're currently working on our very first cookbook set to hit shelves in February 2018 (Ten Speed Press/Penguin Random House).
hot for food launched in February 2014 and earned over 10,000 visitors within the first week. Since then we've been featured in Laika Magazine, Women's Health Magazine, V-lish.com, BuzzFeed, Huffington Post, Thrive, and contributed a monthly clean living column for Clean Eating Magazine (circulated to 1.2 million annually) throughout 2014 and 2015. We recently became Food Network Canada's first and only vegan bloggers and contributors, regularly sharing exclusive recipes for Meatless Monday, and we're contributing chefs to Raw Food Magazine.
Most recently hot for food became part of Kin Community, the #1 lifestyle network on YouTube. We've also been talking up the vegan lifestyle on national television shows like CTV's The Social, CTV Morning Live (Ottawa and Vancouver), Global National News Hour, Global TV's Morning Show (Calgary and Toronto), Breakfast Television (Toronto and Vancouver) and CHCH Hamilton's Morning Live. Recently hot for food was invited by Gene Baur (the President of Farm Sanctuary and a global animal activist) to contribute an original recipe to his new book Living The Farm Sanctuary Life. The book is available now and also features recipes from famous vegans like Emily Deschanel, Chloe Coscarelli, and Moby. You can order your copy here.
