Who doesn't love a smoothie in the morning! It's the best way to get a ton of nutrition in one serving. If you follow us, then you know that we love adding lots of interesting ingredients to smoothies to prevent AM boredom.
I think the pineapple chai smoothie will give you a jolt of breakfast inspiration. It includes Vega all-in-one nutritional shake which is a whole food nutritional supplement that I recommend everyone add to their diet, vegan or not. I don't use it everyday, but I use it enough to keep my diet balanced and get all the nutrition I need especially if I've been travelling or eating not-so-good for a couple weeks. It also helped a lot when I transitioned to a vegan diet.
1 frozen banana
1/2 C frozen pineapple chunks
3/4 C non-dairy milk
1/4 C fresh o.j. (or just use 1 C non-dairy milk)
1 scoop vega one nutritional shake - vanilla chai flavour
3 tbsp hemp seeds
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp masala chai powder
1/2 C ice cubes
In a vitamix or high powered blender combine all the ingredients until smooth.
